Reading aloud to children in their neighborhoods changes mindsets and creates life long learners.

About the Program

We Love Reading is fosters a love of reading among children by training local volunteers to conduct read-aloud sessions in their communities. This innovative program empowers individuals, to become leaders and change-makers, promoting literacy and lifelong learning in underprivileged areas.

The Program

In 2021, we witnessed the magic that unfolded when Asmaa Rashed took ownership of her circumstances, organizing read-aloud circles for adolescent girls in Zaatari refugee camp. Her inspiring story exemplifies the profound impact of the We Love Reading training, empowering not only the participants themselves but also their community.

 

The film has receiving 52 official selections across 25 countries and 11 awards.  Subtitles  are available in multiple languages.
